Writing

Aaron has written a wide range of material in the past twenty years, including a mountain of music journalism, slightly less fiction, and of course plenty of copywriting, technical documentation, websites, et cetera--but for information in that vein, you should see the Professional page.

Fiction

Formerly Chelsea Trash - Teaser chapter for novel currently in progress.

"Dry Eye Syndrome" - a nine-page script intended for a comics anthology that didn't end up getting completed.

Frontpage Updates

So it took me until March 2008 to install actual blogging software on this site; for the first couple of years, I just did frontpage updates by hand in Dreamweaver. It wasn't as convenient, no, but it did force me to actually learn Dreamweaver, which has come in handy.

Frontpage updates and news from 2007 are archived on this page, while selfsame first posted on this site during 2006 are archived on the page this link points to.

Music Journalism

Articles

The Strange Case of Bobby Fuller

This piece covering the short life and still unsolved death of one of rock's most underrated stars originally appeared in Tail Spins. It is the popular favorite among my longer works of music journalism. I still get email about it on a regular basis. Read the article here.

Back To Monk Time

This article telling the story of the world's oddest 60's punk band and their amazing comeback 30 years later originally appeared in EYE Magazine. Read the article here.

Making Time For The Creation

This piece on the band whose music was red with purple flashes originally appeared in EYE Magazine. Read the article here.

In The Eyes Of Nicodemus

The story of the greatest musician you've never heard has been expanded by over 500 words from the printed version that originally appeared in EYE Magazine. Read the article here.

Other Articles

Amongst which are an extensive vintage 1991 interview with Dave Pirner of Soul Asylum, a couple of interviews with local bands from Bloomington written back when I lived there, more random pieces, and stuff that just didn't fit anywhere else. Check out the other articles here
